Its first appearance in Formula 1 came in 1959 when the race took place at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida. This circuit that is located in Austin, capital city of Texas, will make its debut in the Formula 1 World Championship this year. It will be the first United States Grand Prix since 2007, when it took place in Indianapolis. This track is the first purpose-built Formula 1 facility built in the USA. It measures 5.5 kilometres , is anti-clockwise and is made up of 20 turns. Hermann Tilke has made the most of the site’s natural topography by including elevation changes of up to 40 metres. | ||
