The new HRT F112
After failing the first two attempts to pass FIA mandatory crash tests, HRT found itself in the impossibility to shakedown the car in Barcelona as was first intended, but the team did not gave up hope and is continuing to work hard in order to be ready for Australia.
HRT has released a computer image with what the car might look like and if the F112 will resemble this computer generated picture then it will be the second 2012 formula1 car not to have the “platypus nose” after McLaren MP4-27. From what can be seen in the image the rest of the car is more or less similar with what competition has presented so far, the only exception being as stated the nose.
HRT F112 will hide under it’s bonnet the Williams seven-speed "Quick-Shift" sequential semi-automatic shift gearbox and will be powered by the Cosworth V8 2400cc CA2012 engine, which is an evolution of the engine used during the 2011 season.
