Fourth on the grid, a slow start, a difficult to overtake Ferrari, a drive-through penalty and a sixth-place finish – on paper at least, the Australian Grand Prix was one to forget for McLaren’s Jenson Button. In reality, however, Button is remarkably chipper about his disappointing Melbourne race. Not only was the updated MP4-26 a vast improvement on its winter test counterpart, but he believes the car has heaps of unexploited performance still to give.
