Sauber’s pilot Kamui Kobayashi will start Sunday’s race of Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka from seventh place, after he has been promoted to the spot from tenth on the grid because he began a flying lap in the final stage of qualifying sesion.
Michael Schumacher from Mercedes and Renault GP cars driven by Bruno Senna and Vitaly Petrov had been classified ahead of the Japanese driver at the end of the session, but the stewards decided to change the grid and they included Kobayashi’s lap in the Q3 into the lap count and promoted him to 7th on the grid.
