Liuzzi handed five-place grid penalty

Force India’s Vitantonio Liuzzi has dropped five places on the Silverstone grid as a penalty for impeding Williams’s Nico Hulkenberg during qualifying for Sunday’s British Grand Prix. Liuzzi, who had qualified in 15th, will now start the race from 20th.

“We thought that we had to keep Nico behind and I didn’t realise he was on a hot lap,” Liuzzi explained. “From there it’s not going to be easy but there are overtaking spots here at least, plus the incentive of racing in front of our home crowd.”
