New recruits bolster Lotus’s technical line-up

Lotus have announced a trio of new appointments to their technical department. Mark Smith will become the team’s technical director, working under the direction of chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne, following the end of his notice period at his current team Force India. Lewis Butler will join as Lotus’s chief designer, whilst Marianne Hinson will become head of aerodynamics.

These appointments, alongside Keith Saunt (chief operating officer), Dieter Gass (deputy technical director), Elliot Dason-Barber (head of vehicle dynamics), Frank Ramowsky (head of R&D), Rob Reeve (head of electronics) and Jody Egginton (chief engineer), complete the team’s technical senior management structure.
