Practice Two – Hamilton holds on at the top

Lewis Hamilton retained the fastest time in the second practice session in Sepang on Friday, lapping his McLaren in 1m 34.175s. But Sebastian Vettel ran him close, getting within 0.266s of him with 1m 34.441s for Red Bull after completing his tyre testing and full-tank work.

That pipped Nico Rosberg by two-thousandths of a second, after the German had taken his Mercedes round in 1m 34.443s. The other aces were Jenson Button, who recorded 1m 34.538s in the second McLaren, and Michael Schumacher in the second Mercedes, on 1m 34.674s.
