Russian fans will get a taste of Formula One racing in July when the Renault and Virgin teams take to the streets as part of a promotional event in Sochi. The Black Sea resort is set to host the F1 calendar’s first-ever Russian round in 2014.

The demonstration event will take place on a temporary circuit built around Sochi’s city centre. It has been organised by the Krasnodar region’s motorsport federation with the support of Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister – and head of the Russian race’s organising committee – Dmitry Kozak, and Alexander Tkachev, Governor of the Krasnodar region.
