Turkey Grand Prix – 1st Practice Results

A rainy and cold morning in Istanbul Turkey today 05.06.2011, and the most noticeable parts for this morning were Vettel spectacular crash in turn 11, when he amongst other ignored Rosberg advice and went a little to hard into that turn. Ferrari’s driver Fernando Alonso set the fastest pace in first practice session for the Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul. Alonso’s best lap of 1m38.670s was set on intermediate tyres.

Very good times were set by Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher with 1m40.072s and 1m40.132s respectively. Renault was again particularly strong Nick Heidfeld and Vitally Petrov scoring 4th and 5th places.

Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button did not have any significant running this morning and while Jenson set the slowest time of 2m00.666s Hamilton did not even went out stopping at the pit lane exit.
